The Stop’s annual event, What’s on the Table, brings food lovers, innovative chefs and philanthropists together for one delicious evening. Some of my favourite tastes of the evening were:
Monforte Dairy’s Piacere (rosemary, juniper and chilies) Sheep Milk Cheese
La Carnita’s Cochinita Pibil (slow roasted pork) Godita sandwiched between a mini corn cake was a spicy burst of flavour.
The event was a success, and they raised $270,000 for The Stop’s work to increase access to healthy food in a manner that maintains dignity, builds health and community and challenges inequality.
If you missed this awesome event, you can still support The Stop through their Gifts That Matter campaign. Contribute $25 to The Stop on behalf of a friend, and you’ll be purchasing a 3 days’ worth of food for a family of four. We’ll also send a lovely holiday card to your giftee to let them know you’ve done so. Click here to purchase.
