KOHL is a new whiskey bar above Smoque N Bones that’s serious about its whiskey. They have 84 bottles of single malt scotch and 43 bottles of bourbon as part of their bar collection.
In additional to serving the spirits on the rocks, they make a mighty fine cocktail. Here are some that I tried.

Wild Rose: Wild Turkey, Cardamom, Saffron, Rosewater, Egg Whites and Lemon Juice, topped with a pretty rose petal.

Marrakech with Ungava Gin, Cucumber, Cilantro, Lem- Marrakech, Aperol and Lemon Juice.
Mixologist Nishan Nepulangoda has crafted KOHL‘s cocktail program with the intention of capturing Toronto and the Dirty South.
Speaking of the south, selected dishes are available from Smoque n Bones, including these tender chicken bites, ribs and pulled pork. Mmm. Factor in the perfect cocktails and you’ve got a winner on your hands.
KOHL is on the second floor at 869 Queen St. West.
