12 Days of Christmas Cheer: La Vie en Rose

No only is La Vie en Rose creating innovative bras and lingerie, but they also work hard to keep you comfy and cute in pjs. This season, La Vie en Rose has come out with three different fabrics for their pajamas.

La Vie en Rose Mink
is a woven polyester fabric that has brushed to create a faux fur look. Perfect for chilly mornings.

La Vie en Rose Peach Finish is a blend of cotton and polyester. It’s stretchy and has a barely there feel.

I tried out a pair of pajamas in La Vie en Rose Peachy Dream. This fabric is soft like peach fuzz and is incredibly light. Also, it’s really warm! I was worried that it wouldn’t be warm because it was so light and thin- but nope, it’s warm and cozy! It’s also very packable and won’t take up much room in your suitcase- so it’s great for a winter weekend getaway!

La Vie en Rose has a variety of sleep sets, robes and pajamas to keep your cuddly over winter. Check them out!

We’re giving one lucky reader the chance to cozy up in her own Peachy Dream pjs for the holidays (worth $50!) ! To win, enter below!

Mattel Game On! Party

October 20133

When I was younger, I used to play board games all the time. Snakes and Ladders was the best! As time moves on things become less tactile and more touchscreen. Old school games have been making a come back, (Snakes and Lattes, anyone?) and I’d been toying with the idea of hosting a game night.

Happily, Mattel approached me and asked if I’d like to host a Mattel Game On! Party. Is that even a question? I baked cupcakes, gathered up a few of my friends and settled in to play some games!

That night, we played UNO, KERPLUNK, Apples to Apples and the Pictionary Dice Game.  (above). Our favourites were the amped up of version of Pictionary Dice Game and Apples to Apples.

Apples to Apples It’s the game of hilarious comparisons, ready for party play! In each round, a new judge draws a Description Card. You’ve got to decide which card in your hand matches the Description in play, and hope the judge thinks your card is the best. And with so many cards in this version, it’ll never be the same game twice!

It was so much fun! You get a bunch of words like Honest, Sticky, Cruel, Soft, etc. You then have to find a suitable card among the crazy nouns and adjectives that could be in your hand. Micheal Jackson, rainbows, figures from history or towns. It was hilarious!

Isn’t this fortune cookie awesome?

Hosting a game night is a great way to give your eyes a break from the screen, bond with friends and use your imagination.

Want to host your own Mattel Game On! Party? Mattel wants to give one lucky reader a Game On box filled with games! To enter, see below.
