Some magical being has declared October National Pizza Month, and I’m all too happy to oblige. Pizza is kind of the perfect food for me because it combines my two great loves (cheese and bread) into one delicious package. Mmm. Pizza.
To celebrate, Queen Margherita Pizza has a special all month long. You can enjoy a fresh Margherita Pizza with Fior di Latte and Fresh Basil along with a Sleemen beer for only $10 during the entire month of October. It’s an awesome deal, their Margherita pizza has the BEST sauce and perfect crust.

One of my favorite Middle-Eastern Restaurants, Paramount, is now an option for Sunday morning brunch! Starting October 24th, the restaurant will be launching their breakfast campaign complete with Middle Eastern, and Canadian staples. I was lucky to be able to have a special preview of the new and traditional additions to the menu.
Some of the items that will be served are: Eggs and Sausage, Omelet with a variety of veggies such as onions and bell peppers, and my favorite, the Manakeesh which is a Middle Eastern breakfast special, sort of like a bagel, almost like a pizza. The Manakeesh is best described as baked dough with thyme, cheese or meat.
Here are my favorite items from the breakfast menu:
Zaatar/Cheese Manakeesh $2.99-$4.99 (Depending on which flavor)
This Manakeesh had two different styles to try. The spices on one side were thyme, sesame seeds and olive oil. It was a nice combination with the other half which was melted akawi cheese.
I love lobster, and I love bacon. These are facts. When bacon and lobster are together in one dish, it’s a happy day. When I first spotted the Lobster Burger from the Carbon Bar in a photo, I eyed it and wondered where the lobster was. When I went to try it for myself earlier this week, I got my answer! I always celebrate when new restaurants open up in Scarborough. When those restaurants also serve up fresh mozzarella? Well, then I rejoice.
SCADDABUSH has set up shop in Scarborough, just across from Scarborough Town Centre. I was so exicted, that I partnered with SCADDABUSH to host an event to celebrate their launch and their charity partnership.
So why do I like them so much? Well, first off, they make a lot of their delicious dishes in house. Pasta is made daily, and you can watch fresh mozzarella being made before your eyes at the mozzarella bar. (I also am in love with the light fixtures. They’re so cool!) (more…)
