Some magical being has declared October National Pizza Month, and I’m all too happy to oblige. Pizza is kind of the perfect food for me because it combines my two great loves (cheese and bread) into one delicious package. Mmm. Pizza.
To celebrate, Queen Margherita Pizza has a special all month long. You can enjoy a fresh Margherita Pizza with Fior di Latte and Fresh Basil along with a Sleemen beer for only $10 during the entire month of October. It’s an awesome deal, their Margherita pizza has the BEST sauce and perfect crust.
Here’s an inspirational photo.
Go and get your own at any of the 3 Queen Margherita Pizza locations near you!

TIFF is finally here! By now you’ve probably caught a few films, or maybe even bumped into a celebrity or two! I’ve been busy checking out different lounges around the city where A-listers will be gifted exclusive swag and luxe services. Here are my favourite lounges.
Bask-it Style Lounge
At the Bask-it Style lounge, celebrities don’t even need a lift a finger. A bag packed with goodies is sent directly to their hotel room. This year, the swag will be housed in bags from local designer Annie Thompson.
One of my favourite items was Studio1098’s handmade sterling silver Canada Collection jewellery line, designed to celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial moment on July 1, 2017. I loved the delicate maple leaf charm necklaces and cuff links! (more…)
I love the CNE, and I’m not alone! Every year, about 1.6 million people head to the CNE with their families and friends. Here’s what you can expect at the Exhibition this year! (more…)
In a couple of weeks, the second annual Toronto Cider Festival rolls into Dundas Square on Saturday August 27, 2016. If you’re a cider lover, you’re not going to want to miss this chance to try over 40 different ciders from 20 different cideries from across Canada and abroad. Last year the festival sold out, so you’re definitely going to want to get your hands on some tickets early.
In the evening, A VIP session takes place; providing exclusive early admission to the evening session, 10 sample tokens and access to a “Food and Cider Pairing” discussion led by Doris Miculan Bradley – a 20-year industry professional and the Canadian Brand Ambassador for The Wines of Vinho Verde.
As a bonus for attendees, this year there will be some pretty awesome contests at the festival. (more…)
Did you know? According to Coleman Canada nearly two-thirds of Canadians spend fewer than two hours per week outside doing recreational activities. How sad is that? We have such beautiful parks and outdoor spaces all over Canada.
Because of this, the Get Outside Day movement, to excite and encourage Canadians to get outside was launched. July 15th, 2016 is National Get Outside Day. Coleman continues to petition the Canadian government to declare one day this summer National Get Outside Day.
“As Canadians, we’re proud to call this beautiful country home, but it’s unfortunate that so many of us are unable to find the time to get outside and enjoy what Canada has to offer,” said Ezio Sbrizzi, President, Coleman Canada. “As Canada’s leading outdoor company, we needed to do something about it which is why we started the Get Outside campaign. Now more than ever we remain committed to the cause, rallying the Canadian government to allow all of us more time to enjoy our country’s great outdoors. We know that’s a long shot for this year, but our entire team at Coleman will be taking July 15th off to recognize and celebrate Get Outside Day at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville, Ontario. We encourage all Canadians to get outside that day to support the cause!”
That’s a cause I can get behind! To learn more about the petition and for inspiration and ideas on how you can #GetOutside this summer, visit http://www.getoutsidecanada.com
