Top Restaurant Picks for Father’s Day in Toronto & GTA

Not sure where to take your Dad for lunch or dinner this Father’s Day? Check out some of my recommendations!

The Works Burger

The Works Burger
Take Dad to this burger haven and you won’t be sorry! Hailing from Ottawa, this burger restaurant has an inventive menu of so many burgers that it’ll make your head spin. Burgers are pressed in store daily, and are made with 100% Canadian beef. Be sure to try their new menu, Patty like a Rockstar. Start off your meal with bacon wrapped tater tots, end with Gettin’ Piggier with it (a bacon and beef patty piled with Canadian bacon, cheddar, smoked bacon, bacon ketchup and crispy onion rings). Various locations in Ontario.

Famoso Pizza

Famoso is one of my favourite pizza places in the city. There’s something about the sauce that’s just the best! If your Dad likes pizza, then he’ll love the fluffy Neopoltian pizza that Famoso serves, cooked in just 90 seconds in their authentic bell ovens. Their pizza is made with ’00’ Caputo flour and tomatoes imported from Italy. Try their seasonal menu for unique twists. The spicy Vesuvio pizza is a favourite, topped with soppressata, cracked chili pepper, and pecorino romano. Various locations in Ontario.

Planeta Mexico
We stumbled upon this Mexican gem while wandering Main Street Unionville one day. Portions are plentiful, and ingredients are fresh and authentic. Classic dishes like Flautas Rancheras, Mole Poblano and Chimichangas can be found here. The Margeritas and house made churros are to die for. 187 Main Street Unionville ON

Sometimes, Dads just want to eat lots of delicious Japanese food. When the craving hits, I head to Tatemono for fresh, fast Japanese food with good service. Expect all of Dad’s favourites including sashimi, sushi rolls, tempura shrimp, gyoza and more. Locations in Hamilton or Whitby.
