So, as it turns out, planning a wedding isn’t all that easy. Although I love to plan, there’s a certain kind of stress that comes with planning the biggest party of your life. For me, the most stressful part was picking a date and a venue. Now that that’s finally done, I can get down to some of the fun bits, like picking my wedding photographer and florist. I’m trying to stay organized, so I have a trifecta of stationary to help me out. (more…)
Okay, it’s official. Yorkdale Mall is now my favourite place to shop. Ever.
Today I stopped by to check out Kate Spade I mean…all of the new stores. And I was blown away by brands I didn’t expect to love! Before we get to that, I stopped by Kate Spade first. Awesome store, such bright colours!
I fell in love with Ted Baker London. Everything is whimsical and covered with bows…just the way I like it.
LOFT had awesome sweaters in that shade of oxblood that I’ve been looking for! Everything was really cute.
Ta-Ze had tasty olive oil for sampling.
The Papyrus store is a special Cherry Blossom store, one of only 8 in North America. The signature look is the handcrafted chandeliers and wooden floors.
Last but not least, an old love….Anthroplogie!
Take a look at some more photos and get ready to shop!’
I am so very excited for the new stores at Yorkdale that are opening this Friday November 16th at 8:00am! I’m most excited for Kate Spade, but that isn’t the only notable store set to open this week! Also joining the ranks will be:
I can’t wait! Anthropologie, Ted Baker London, Papyrus and David’s Tea? It’s like Christmas!
If you are an early bird, join Breakfast Television for a live broadcast of the grand opening starting at 6:00 a.m. The first 100 visitors will receive a $50 Yorkdale Gift Card, plus prizes from participating retailers. The official grand opening takes place before 8:00 a.m.
If you read this blog, I think it’s safe to say that it’s no surprise to find out that I love Kate Spade. She’s launching a brand new brand called Saturday. This brand is for a younger demographic (25-35….me!) and is meant to capture the spirit of Saturday, 7 days a week. New items will be released each Saturday in-store. The new line will include dresses, jackets, jeans, t-shirts, sweaters, handbags, jewelry, watches, shoes, home décor items and more. These items will be about 50% cheaper than Kate Spade New York. Think: clothing ($90), handbags ($130), jewelry ($30) and shoes ($85).
You’ll have to wait a bit to get your hands on it though. Saturday will launch Spring 2013 in the US online and in Feb 2013 for Japan (online and flagship). As for Canada…well, we’re left out as usual. Hopefully, with the arrival of Kate Spade New York in Yorkdale Mall next month, this will change. If you are savvy shipping things from the US, fab.com will offer an early access sale sometime next year before the US launch! I can’t wait!
Garance Doré is a fabulous fashion illustrator and photographer. Kate Spade is quickly becoming one of my favourite brands. Put them together and it’s instant magic. I love the cute illustrative print! Click here to shop the collection.
