Indigo is all Canadian, and they’re celebrating our big milestone- Canada’s 150th birthday! This is a celebrating that goes way beyond July 1st. In their Canada 150 Shop, you’ll find carefully selected books, tote bags, delicious smelling candles and more, all dedicated to Canada.
My favourite part of the shop is the Coast to Coast section. I love the wooden canoe paddles for your walls, fun beach towels and lawn games. Also, how cute is that pillow?
If you’re a reader like me, you’ll love their curated list of Canada’s top 10 reads. Anne of Green Gables is on the list, one of my favourite books of all time! History buffs and Canadiana fans will enjoy The World Needs More Canada – an amalgamation of anecdotes, insights and photography from over 100 storytellers and thought-leaders across the country.
I’ve partnered with Indigo to give one lucky reader a prize pack that includes: a Canadian mug, 1 Read the North T-shirt, 1 delicious smelling candle, a Read the North tote bag and a The World Needs More Canada book. Feeling lucky? Enter below! Good luck!

So, as it turns out, planning a wedding isn’t all that easy. Although I love to plan, there’s a certain kind of stress that comes with planning the biggest party of your life. For me, the most stressful part was picking a date and a venue. Now that that’s finally done, I can get down to some of the fun bits, like picking my wedding photographer and florist. I’m trying to stay organized, so I have a trifecta of stationary to help me out. (more…)
I could go on endlessly about how much I love Indigo. I love everything about them. The books, obviously, but also their beautiful seasonal collections. Everything is always so thoughtfully designed and gorgeous.
This collection will be in stores in mid April. Canadian summer is a big focus of the summer collection, especially with the upcoming Sesquicentennial. The collection includes beach blankets, totem pole inspired mugs, beach bags and more. Of course, there are also fab items for Mothers and Fathers Day.
I want one of everything! Take a look at their spring and summer products!
When I was in elementary school, I was a nerdy kid. I would get in trouble the most for – get this – reading under my desk during school, or reading under the covers at night.
Many years later, I still love books. I love books so much. I often have one stashed in my purse, some on my Kobo, and a bunch on my cell phone just in case.
Although I’m a huge book lover, I’ve found out that I’m actually reading less as I get sucked into the void of Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I want to keep up my reading, don’t you?
That’s why I love the Indigo book club! Every month, a new book is featured, and then a book chat takes over on Twitter. (more…)
Today it’s a positively balmy 6 degrees outside. Doesn’t it feel like spring is just around the corner? Here’s a peek of the newest Indigo Spring/Summer collection that will hit stores soon. (more…)
Last week, I was lucky enough to be invited to the Indigo Fall preview party. They had a twitter contest, and I was one of the winners! We were all invited to head office downtown on King street. The space was beautiful, with exposed brick walls and a stainless steel kitchen.
Indigo products were carefully placed around the room for us to look through, and tasty gourmet products were set out for us to try. Everything in the room, including the food would be for sale at Chapters in the fall. It was a really fun event. Indigo reps were on hand to tell us a bit about the products, and raffles were held throughout the evening.
I was super lucky, and ended up winning The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. (WHICH WAS AMAZING) Two of my favourite things from the evening was the Napa Valley olive oil and a cool feather pencil. At the end of the evening, they gave us a little Indigo swag bag with a classic book (I got Wuthering Heights) a notebook and a $5.00 gift card. All in all, it was a lovely evening!
