Review: Incase Heathered Tote Bag

IMG_7235

When I went on my trip to Quebec City this month, I was fortunate to be able to carry and try out a bag from one of my favourite brands, Incase. My heathered tote was graciously provided by Take Five Trading. I was looking for a durable bag for travel, and I found it!

The Heathered Tote ($80) features a padded pocket for your 13″ Macbook, a back slot big enough to fit magazines, a front zippered pocket for your phone and a removable shoulder strap. The bag snaps closed and is quilted inside.

This bag was amazing. I was initially worried about the lack of zipper, but it didn’t bother me at all. There were lots of internal pockets inside to stash my things, and everything was secure. The best thing about this bag is that it can hold a lot of stuff. When I travel (ok, lets be honest here. Even when I’m going across the street) I carry tons of things. My newly acquired iPad (fits perfectly in the laptop section), a notebook, a novel, an extra hat, headphones, snacks, makeup, travel guides, magazines….I could go on. The second best thing is that this tote bag not only fit it all, but it did it in a way that didn’t hurt my shoulder.

Usually after carrying a bag for a couple of hours my shoulders hurt. I carried this bag around with me in Quebec City for 4 days, and I was fine. It does an amazing job of distributing the weight properly. Now that I’m back in Toronto, I use this bag to carry my laptop. The pouch is big enough to fit my 13.5″ Sony Vaio. It’s a good work bag, because I can fit my lunch, laptop and file folders inside.

This bag is also well made. The removable strap has custom metal hardware that attaches it to the bag. The zippers are strong and durable YKKs with custom pulls. The bottom of the bag is padded just in case you drop it. I loved this bag and you will too!

The Heathered Tote is part of the Lineage Collection and is available online.
