One of the best foodie fundraisers in Toronto is returning for another year. Recipe for Change will take place on Thursday February 25th at St. Lawrence Market. The evening brings together 30 of Toronto’s top chefs sharing gourmet dishes. This year, participating chefs include Nick Liu (DaiLo), Rocco Agostino (Libretto), Chef Nuit (Pai), Evis Chirowamhangu (Mnandi Pies), David Liee (Planta) and many more. See the full list here. FoodShare Recipe for Change (February 25, 2016)
Recipe for Change is more than just another delicious foodie event. FoodShare has 95 community led food initiatives,including growing fresh produce in schools, training young urban farmers and serving low cost nutritious meals in Good Food Cafes and community kitchens.
“We work hard to improve access to good healthy food all year; this is our night to come out and celebrate the great flavours the city has on offer and to raise funding and awareness for the work we do in schools,” said senior manager at FoodShare Katie German. “Getting kids excited about eating, cooking and growing when they’re young makes for a healthier society tomorrow.”
