By now, you’ve definitely heard of the Happy Place. If not, you’ve definitely seen the photos of giant cookies, a massive rainbow ball pit and a confetti dome. The Happy Place is officially in Toronto, and it’s becoming more popular by the day.Taking over a small building on Queens Quay, the Happy Place hails from sold out shows in Chicago and LA.
There are different spaces to explore in the 20,000 square foot space, including world’s largest indoor confetti dome with half a million pieces of confetti, a bright yellow bathtub with a rubber ducky wall, giant X & O mirrors, 7-foot tall candy stilettos and so much more. (more…)

This heartwarming tale is told from the perspective of a Japanese cat named Nana. Satoru, his owner, adopted him when he was found injured on the streets.Since then, human and cat have lived together in quiet companionship.
Suddenly, everything changes.
Satoru takes Nana on a roadtrip across Japan to find a new home, but Nana doesn’t know why. This book has beautiful descriptions Japanese landscapes like the countryside, farms and the sea.
While we journey, we learn a bit more about Satoru’s childhood, relationships, and of course, cats.
This book may or may not have a heartbreaking conclusion…you’ll have to reach it to find out what it is. If you’re a cat lover, you’ll warm to this charming book.

The Gardiner Museum is home to a new restaurant this fall. Clay is a new, beautifully designed restaurant brought to us from the genius minds of The Food Dudes.
Clay offers a select, seasonal menu featuring fresh, local ingredients. They’re open for brunch and lunch. I was invited to check out the new space, and immediately fell in love with the clean, simple design. (more…)
Monsters You Should Know is a delightful little book chock full of monsters from around the world that you may or may not know. I’m a big fan of folklore and legends, so I knew I had to get my hand on this book. It’s a beautiful hardcover book with full colour illustrations by Emma SanCartier. Kikkerland is such a fun brand. I’ve been a big fan for a long time. I first discovered the brand through their travel gear (super handy luggage scales and packable laundry bags have been a lifesaver!). Now that I’m a homeowner, I’m finding fun and useful ways to use Kikkerland day to day life.
This is the tool that I didn’t know I needed until I discovered it. I have a mini herb garden that’s constantly producing basil, oregano, mint, thyme and parsley. This handy herb multi tool is able to chop herbs with it’s curved blade, strip herbs of leaves (I’m looking at you, thyme) and can zest in a pinch. It’s also able to peel citrus and open bottles.
