This spring OPI takes nail color to the next level with revolutionary Sheer Tints; the brand’s first-ever, pigmented top coats. Sheer Tints by OPI offers a fresh take on traditional top coats with the introduction of 4 new vivid hues in Blue, Pink, Yellow and Purple. An infusion of transparent color with high shine, these top coats can be worn alone, with a base coat for a playful sheer or layered over any shade to create an alternate finish for a progressive nail look.
I tried out I’m Never Amberrassed: (Liquid amber morphs into a veneer of yellow tint that is anything but bashful.) and Don’t Violet Me Down: (You can count on this crystal sheer amethyst.)
I really like the idea of these tints, but I think I’d need to get used to them, or experiment a bit more.
I wore it on its own, but didn’t really like the orange tinge it gave my nails. These polishes also don’t layer well upon each other- they tend to bubble up.
I decided to try layering the two colours that I had.
I had fun doing that, and can def. see that with the full range of colours, you could create some fun designs or a gradient effect. I’m going to keep playing around with these!
What do you think? Would you use sheer tints? www.opi.com
