Manicure time at Elmwood Spa

1-elm3

Elmwood Spa is a popular downtown spa that’s tucked away in the downtown core on Elm street. It’s such a peaceful and relaxing spot! Recently, they’ve renovated their manicure and pedicure area, and I visited the space to check it out!

Before I started my manicure, I took some time to take in the Water Therapies. If you book your mani or pedi from Monday to Thursday, Water Therapies are included with your service. The women’s change room has a beautiful hot tub and a steam room. There’s also a coed pool area on a different floor. After relaxing, I went to visit the renovated manicure area.

I really like the use of colour in the space. Calming turquoises and light greys make the space a welcoming one. There’s ample seating for pedicures and manicures alike.

I had a Shellac Manicure ($50). Elmwood uses CND polish, and I chose a light mint shade. A friendly technician gave me a AHA hand exfoliation (to diminish signs of aging) a soothing hot towel rinse and relaxing hand massage. My nails were cured under a UV light, and then I was good to go for the next two weeks! My favourite thing about this manicure is how shiny it dried!

If you visit, you might want to opt for the full package and get an ElmLine Essential Pedicure ($65) as well. Feet are pampered with a relaxing massage while they soak in a warm tub. Your technician will remove calluses and leave your feet moisturized and ready to go. Shellac pedicures are also available.
