Cookie lovers rejoice! Until December 23rd, you can make your own fresh, custom cookie in the PATH at Hersey’s Kitchens. In a bustling spot of the Scotia Plaza, the Kitchen has set up shop to bring a little holiday joy.
Take a moment from your busy day and bake up a cookie. Cookies are $3 each. First, choose from classic or a peanut butter dough.Next, choose up to three delicious mix-ins. Mix-ins include Hersey’s Cookies n’ Creme chocolate bars, milk chocolate chips, Reese’s peanut butter cups, Eggies and more. Once you’ve chosen them, they are mixed into the dough and baked in about two minutes. The best part is that Hershey has partnered with Sweet Flour Bake Shop, one of my favourite bakeries in Toronto. (I ordered cookies from them for the sweet table at my wedding.)
For those in a rush, the Kitchen will serve up a few pre-made treats to grab and go. These drool worth desserts include frosted chocolate chip cookies, peppermint bark brownies, and stuffed cookies.
I would recommend coming in the morning to pick up some of these baked goods. The treats are high in demand, and tend to run out before the end of the day.
I stopped by and made my own delicious cookie. It was a tough choice, but I decided to do semi-sweet chocolate chips, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Eggies in a plain cookie base. The result was a melt in your mouth, gooey and rich cookie. I definitely plan on going back before December.
The Hershey’s Kitchens also has another sweet treat up its sleeve. Visitors can also find a selection of Candy Cane, Cookies n’ Creme and even new Hot Cocoa Chocolates Hershey’s Kisses available. Mmm.
Visit Hersey’s Kitchens daily Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm at Scotiabank Plaza, 40 King Street West in the PATH, across from Winners.
