MAC has released new Patentpolish Lip Pencils (mouthful!) for a limited time.
I love these sleek, chubby lip pencils. Of all cosmetics, lipsticks are my favourites, closely followed by nail polish. I especially love lip pencils, or as I call them, lip crayons.
These look way more like crayons than pencils, wouldn’t you agree? I’ve been seeing more and more lip stains and glosses being released in this format, and I hope it doesn’t slow down!
M·A·C Patentpolish Lip Pencil are smooth and creamy, without being sticky. They’re also very glossy and you can achieve the shade with one swipe.
The pencils are a cute rounded shape, and can be twisted up when you run low. No sharpening!
I tried out 3 shades. Pictured above are Pleasant, Sultana and Berry Bold.
Pleasant is an instant favourite, described as “rosy pink.” I find this to be way more of a red than a pink when it goes on. On my skin tone, it’s more like a cherry red. I hate wearing pink, so I’m happy about this.
Berry Bold is an orange red that I can’t wait to rock in the sunshine!
Sultana is a sultry dark grape. On the pencil it’s almost brown. This shade will be perfect for a dinner out.
