Flaky, buttery goodness has arrived at Starbucks Canada! As if you needed another reason to become addicted to Starbucks (hello, chai tea latte), but I promise you this will be worth it. A couple of summer ago I visited a Starbucks in Seattle. I was insanely jealous of their fancy french pastries that remained a distant dream in Canada.
Well, I’m no longer jealous, because as of March 2nd, these delicious goodies have launched with La Boulange in Ontario and BC!
La Boulange brings an assortment of classic French-inspired, artisanal pastries to Starbucks.
“Great coffee deserves great food and like Starbucks and coffee, La Boulange™/MC represents so much more than finely baked goods,” says Isabelle Hemond, director, Food, Starbucks Canada. “We share common values with the goal to inspire moments of connection at our core. We are bringing our customers products made with simple, high quality ingredients that are truly exceptional. Tasting is believing.”
New products include:
- Single-Origin Chocolate Croissant – Flaky and buttery croissant dough and rich, velvety single-origin chocolate
- Butter Croissant – All-butter pastry with melt-in-your mouth flaky, light layers
- Almond Croissant Blossom – All-butter pastry with pastry cream and frangipane
- Cheese Danish – Flaky all-butter pastry with Neufchatel cheese
…and more!
The best part is that all of these yummy pastries are served warm! Wanna try one? I’m giving away some $10 Starbucks Giftcards. Enter below and on my Twitter and Instagram page!

March 12, 2015 at 9:02 AMI haven’t tried any of the La Boulange treats yet, but I’m definitely going to. I usually wait for the weekend to treat myself to something like that and these seem like they’d be great on a Sunday morning. Especially if someone else went to pick it up while I stayed warm and cozy in my bed 😉
