At the end of the summer, I visited Boston for the first time, and loved it The entire city is steeped in history, they have beautiful gardens and plenty of shopping. When it was time to leave I wish I could have stayed a bit longer!
We drove to Boston from Toronto, and underestimated both Boston and Toronto traffic. Because of that, we checked in a little late to the Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel.
I’m sure that you’re already aware of my love affair with Kimpton properties. I always look forward to checking into a Kimpton, because each one is different.
We stayed in a room with 2 Queen beds with luxe Frette linens and funky wallpaper with unique metallic accents.
The amenities in the bathroom included bath and body items from Atelier Bloem. They smelled wonderful, and I appreciated that they included a set for everyone staying in the room.
We were greeted with some delicious treats wating for us in our room upon check in. I love that FRED water! Such nice design.
We took advantage of a unique program that the Kimpton has called Guppy Love. We borrowed a goldfish for the night!
This little guy hung out with us, and arrived with his own food. It was a nice touch!
As is the norm with all Kimptons, the staff were friendly, helpful and warm. If you feel like biking around town, you can always borrow one of their custom bikes.
In the lobby, the hotel offers a wine tasting hour daily from 5pm to 6pm. I had a refreshing glass of rose after a day filled with wandering around the city.
The location of the Nine Zero is amazing. Right across the street is the Granary Burial Ground, the third oldest (founded in 1660!) graveyard in Boston. Some notable figures have been laid to rest there, and you can go on tours.
Further down the street, the Boston Common claims the title of the oldest park in the USA. This bustling urban park was wonderful to stroll through. We even walked over to the public gardens and admired the beautiful weeping willows.
Last but not least, the hotel is within walking distance of several shops, including my absolute favourite store, Primark!! I didn’t even realize it was in the USA. It was the best!
Not the wandering type? Need a little guidance? The Kimpton Nine Zero has you covered with Ricardo Rodriguez, their Style & Experience Curator. He’s pulled together a curated selection of lifestyle retailers that have partnered with the hotel to offer guests exclusive experiences and discounts around the city. Sounds awesome, right? Check out his recommendations and their Live Like a Local program. Happy exploring!
The Kimpton Nine Zero is at 90 Tremont Street in Boston, MA
