A wedding is more than just a ceremony and a reception. There are so many little moments where you can let your personality shine through as a couple, stay true to your theme, or just have some fun. I’ve always been a fan of Homesense, but I’m an even bigger fan now that I’m planning my wedding!
I’m having a nautical themed wedding next month (ahhh!). I’m sticking with navy, white and blush, with pops of rose gold. Hoemsense has such a huge selection of items for every aspect of the wedding. Every Homesense store is different, so you never know what you may find. If you find something that you love, you should pick it up when you see it to avoid disappointment. For my wedding, I’m going to use decor from Homesense to enhance the space.
I had so much fun wandering the aisles of Homesense, trying to get a deal and find the most perfect things. In the housewares section, they have tons of jars, vases and really pretty glass containers to hold candles, bathroom supplies or flowers. I gathered a selection of cake stands, glass jars and plates to create a cookie display! My favourite find was a polka dot Kate Spade table cloth at a bargain price. I’m’ going to use that as my cookie display backdrop!
My wedding will be nautical, so I also picked up some ceremony decor. Two end tables that have a natural wood finish and shiny chrome legs will hold my programs and ceremony signage. I also picked out a giant round mirror (like a port hole!) to display my wedding welcome sign on.
Speaking of signage, Homesense has some signage that’s perfect for weddings. His and her cocktails, Choose a Seat not a Side, and even plain chalkboards are there for you to make your mark. I can’t wait to show you what I did with my wedding, stay tuned for a post next month!
