Cambria Shores Inn

cambria1

The Cambria Shores Inn felt like home, and we were sorry that we only had one night to spend there. As you pull up to the inn, you can see the Pacific ocean right across the street. Big Muskoka chairs are set up in front of the inn for you to enjoy the view.

The view from your back door!

My comfortably appointed room had a soft bed with a reclaimed wooden headboard, a fireplace, a small kitchenette and a little patio to watch the sunset on. The bathroom was the best! It had a small tub and a large glass shower, with an awesome shower head. I also loved the view of the ocean from the patio.

The room cozy touches, like a basketful of books, small artworks on the wall and my favourite- a notebook beside the bed! The notebook was filled with notes from people who had stayed in that room before. The notes were funny, touching and intimate. It was something that I’ve never seen done in another hotel, and I loved it.

In the morning, a treat awaits you. Included with your day is a basket of breakfast. It gets left outside of your door in the morning. It’s filled with fresh orange juice, fruit, yogurt and small baked goods. Perfect to sustain you after you return from your walk on the beach.

Moonstone Beach is a beautiful beach with a lovely boardwalk. When the tide is out, you can visit the tiny tidal pools and find sea creatures inside!

The Cambria Shores Inn is also dog friendly! You can travel with your pet and they even have doggie treats. If you aren’t a dog, that’s okay. They also have people treats! In the evening, enjoy a fresh-baked brownie.

Cambria is the perfect place to stop on your road-trip from San Francisco to L.A. It’s halfway! With its tide pools, elephant seals and friendly accommodations, it makes perfect sense.
