This cozy restaurant is another gem in the St. Clair West area. I love venturing out here and finding new tasty places to eat. Bywoods is a Mediterranean restaurant with an Italian flair.
The signature cocktail was the Bywoods. The Bywoods had gin, Rosemary, lemon juice, sugar and club soda. The cocktail was refreshing, but I think I’d try a more fruity cocktail.
They serve assorted flatbread pizzas, which I’m sad to say that I missed, but I hear that they were delicious. If you visit, definitely try to snag one of those!
Here are some of the dishes I enjoyed the most.
Mediterranean Salad ($13) had tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, black olives, feta cheese, marjoram dressing and a coriander yogurt sauce.
Linguine with Shrimp ($21) came in a barely-there cream sauce with spinach. I love, love, loved this. The pasta was house made and very fresh, and the sauce was almost like an oil. So good.
Grilled Flank Steak ($21) was super tender and served with arugula, mushroom, tomato salad and a salsa.
Brownie topped with whipped cream and fresh fruit finished the meal. Not overly sweet, it was a nice way to end the dinner.
I would return to Bywoods to try one of their flatbread pizzas, and to indulge in their delicious pasta again!
Bywoods is located at 760 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto
