Books on Film at TIFF

Books on Film at the TIFF Bell Lightbox brings together book and film lovers together for the fourth year in a row. Discuss the transition of books to screen with host Eleanor Wachtel of CBC’s Writers & Company. Filmmakers, authors and experts will discuss the art of adaptation and the sometimes challenging passage from page to screen. Featuring a screening followed by a fascinating and lively discussion, this popular subscription series presents six events on select Mondays from March 3 to June 23.

Films include Mohsin Hamid on The Reluctant Fundamentalist,Yiyun Li on A Thousand Years of Good Prayers, and my favourite, Yann Martel on Life of Pi.

I’m most looking forward to hearing Yann Martel talk about Life of Pi, and finally seeing Life Of Pi on the big screen! I wasn’t able to catch it while it was in theaters.
