You know that scene at the end of the movie Tangled, where all the lanterns are released and they are beautiful. I’ve lived my life trying to replicate that (okay, fine. I tried to recreate it for my wedding, but it didn’t work out). Unfortunately, these gorgeous lanterns are banned from most places because they are a fire hazard.
Luckily, there are awesome events like Lantern Fest! At Lantern Fest, every visitor will be able to release their own lantern into the sky! The festival will be held in an open field so that there aren’t any fire hazards. Of course, there is the possibility that the event may be cancelled if the winds are blowing the wrong way, but hopefully that won’t happen. If that does happen, the event will be held again within 3 months.
In the GTA, the event will be held in Ohsweken, Ontario. This is about an hour and 10 minutes away from downtown Toronto, so it’s pretty close! Ticket price includes your own lantern and a welcome kit. Bring your own chairs and blankets and get ready for a magical evening!
