Just because it’s winter, that doesn’t mean that you have to stay inside! There are tons of great events to check out and explore in the chilly months. Here are some of my favourites.
Winterlicious January 25 to February 7
Everyone’s favourite foodie festival is back for another year. This time, there are almost 200 participating restaurants. Lunch prix fixe menus can be #23, $28 or $33. Dinner clocks in at $33, $43 or $53. See all the restaurants here.
Winter Stations Feb. 18 to April 1
Walk along the waterfront between Ashbridges Bay and Balmy Beach to see interactive waterfront art installations. This year, the theme is migration. Check out the winning designs.
Come Up to My Room, January 17-20
All four floors of the Gladstone Hotel will become an intersection of art and design. Throughout the hotel, site specific installations will be throughout the hotel. This year, there’s a permanent installation that will be at the hotel for one year that manipulates light and reflection to create new spatial experiences.
Toronto Light Festival January 18 to March 3
This totally free festival features thousands of lights and 44 building in the Distillery District. Exhibits range from fun to interactive to just plain beautiful. Local and international artists are participants.
Interior Design Show January 17 to 20
This show celebrates and promotes designs in Canada and across the world. This year the show is bigger with more never-before-seen installations and features from 10 over design and architecture firms.
