Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Matte

IMG_9099

Liquid matte lipsticks have been all the craze lately! it’s hard to find that perfect long wearing formula, that won’t entirely dry out your lips at the end of the day. Make Up For Ever decided to give the trend a try with their new artist liquid matte lipsticks!

I received 3 colours in the shades 103(Warm Beige),105(Rosewood), and 109 (Praline).

These lipsticks are for people like me, who love an ultra matte finish, and no sheen whatsoever with the help of mineral clay, and kaolin powders in the formula. The formula promises to wear all day, without transfer which I have to say is very true! The formula stayed put on my lips after eating greasy foods, and did not transfer onto surfaces like traditional liquid lipstick which I was very excited about.

The lipstick comes in mainly neutral, but highly pigmented colours, something for every skin tone they dry down to the true colour which is nice. The formula is smooth, and very creamy as it has avocado and glycerin to keep hydration. Although my lips did become dry at some point in the day, I did reapply, but it was not nearly as dry as my lips have been before when trying to keep on a liquid formula.

Overall, a great addition to the battle of liquid lipsticks!

[Book Nook] May Reads

1-Desktop4

There are some great books coming out in May that I’m really excited for!

  1. When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right? (more…)
