This cozy restaurant is another gem in the St. Clair West area. I love venturing out here and finding new tasty places to eat. Bywoods is a Mediterranean restaurant with an Italian flair.
The signature cocktail was the Bywoods. The Bywoods had gin, Rosemary, lemon juice, sugar and club soda. The cocktail was refreshing, but I think I’d try a more fruity cocktail. (more…)
Soia & Kyo debuted their spring collection at World Mastercard Fashion Week in muted tones of khaki, tan, white and yellow. Jackets ranged from trench coats, to blazers, to full length macs. One print was shown, a textured black and white birch like print that I really liked. I also loved the glimpses of the beautiful patterned lining inside of the jackets.
This was my first time at a Matthew Gallagher show, and I was blown away! I loved the structural pieces, surprising pleats, voluminous skirts and luxe fabrics. Bravo! (more…)

Tucked away in the Intercontinental Hotel in Montreal is the absinthe bar, Sarah B. In the plush private room (one of two that can be rented for special events) I’m about to have my first experience with the green fairy. Absinthe. Moulin Rouge and Amsterdam, but in Canada.
Once upon a time, absinthe used to be a banned substance, and there’s still a bit of mystery and illicitness that surrounds this drink.
