Month: May 2012

Hi everyone!

I’m off on vacation! To Paris, Rome, Florence and Venice!

I’ll be posting pictures on Instagram and twitter when I get the chance.

See you in June! opens it’s doors

Soon will be opening its virtual doors for business, and it’s got a pretty impressive list of brands.

Why should you shop on

  • It’s Canadian! I always prefer to order from Canada
  • If your order is more than $40 you get free shipping, and lots of items have free returns.
  • Everyone who signs up early will earn 5x the Rewards on everything you buy at SHOP.CA for the rest of 2012. That’s 2.5% on every dollar you spend on the site for the rest of this year! Could be worth it if you shop a lot!

The Grid Celebrates 1 Year with Pop-Up Lunches!

It’s been once year since Eye Magazine evolved into the Grid! To celebrate, they are hosting yummy pop-up lunches throughout the city next week. My only criticism is that these are smack dab in the heart of Toronto. It would be lovely if some of these pop-up lunches made it to the edges of the city. Here are the deets!

Essie Review & Giveaway!

The other day I received a lovely little package from Essie, chock full with new shades for the summer. True to this seasons palette, these new shades are bright! With fun names like “Oh So Teeny Bikini” and “All Tied Up” these colours will get you in the mood for summer!

I tried out a couple of the polishes, and I liked them! I’m not used to wearing such bright colours on my nails…but that being said I’m pretty excited to try the orange. Essie polishes go on smooth and are pretty opaque. All of the shades are a flat, glossy finish except for “All Tied Up,” which has a bit of a shimmer.

(yes, I’m a messy nail manicure. I do my nails like I live my life. FAST.)
Essie has given me one set to share with one lucky lady! To enter, fill out the form below and tell me your fav shade!

Royal Mother’s Day Brunch at Casa Loma

Note: This brunch has changed for the worse, and I would not recommend this for 2015.
Treat your mama to a delectable brunch at Casa Loma! This splurge is truly worth the $51.00 (plus tax). You are greeted with a delicious mimosa, and things only go up from there! It was the best brunch I ever had, (second going to  this place. ) They had a breakfast, salad, pasta, carving and of course, dessert station. My favourite was the breakfast station, especially the scrambled eggs with goat cheese, basil and cherry tomato. After brunch, you get to wander the beautiful grounds and take some pictures! (admission is included) Don’t take my word for it, read the menu! It’s sure to impress your mom! Mine loved it.
