I don’t know how it happened, but in the spring I became obsessed with the idea of growing herbs, and making herb butter. (Largely due to a book called, “The Cook’s Herb Garden.”)
So I waited until this herb growing kit went on sale, and bought two of them. The Mediterranean one comes with Sage, Rosemary and Garlic Chives. The Italian one comes with Parsley, Basil and Oregano. The two brown discs are actually made of a waste product- coconut husks. It tells me to add two and a half cups of water, which seems like a lot. The little round of coconut waste miraculously grows into soil! I put too much water the first time, so I lowered the amount the second time. I planted my seeds, and wait for them to grow.
Within two days, they have sprouted! I should have labeled them though…because I have no idea what’s growing!! The garlic chives are the easiest to tell apart. The last two pictures were taken yesterday (they’ve been growing for a week now) I’m also sorry that most of these pictures are terrible. I can’t really take pictures of plants, I guess.
